This is such a charming restaurant!
Small and intimate, with amazing food and drinks.
Everything that I tried was delicious.
Appetizers:
The mussels with red curry sauce was my favorite. Ask for extra bread to soak up the sauce!
Entree:
I had the duck. It was tender and juicy. Very delicious!
Dessert and drinks:
I love chai anything so of course I ordered the dirty chai cocktail, for dessert the chai pot de creme.
I recommend both!
Overall, I love this restaurant and would recommend it to everyone! -

Stone House is a small place. Two knowledgeable waitstaff cover all eight or so tables. I rarely make reservations anymore but this is one of those times. We started with the melon tomato tarragon smoked tuna plate. The only way to eat this bite is get all ingredients in each bite. If you try to eat each component separately it doesn't work. Too disparate. Too much clash....but all together? Quite amazing and a combination I had not thought of. We also had the bread plate which was a bit of a let down. Bread was overwarmed and white bread was dry toast.
My wife had the pork chop. So juicy and tender and flavorful. Accompanying side dishes were excellent. I ordered the duck which was superb. Interestingly and one hundred procent good on The Stone House they allowed me to have the pork chop set with my duck. Wow was it extra awesome.
Try the peach dessert. Tasty! -

We went for their Valentines Course Dinner- it was also our first time at Stone house.
Was it good you ask ? Yes.
Was it worth $274 ? No.
Did we want pizza after? Yes.
The dishes were delightful and delicious- except the gazpacho-- pass. The amount of food is bitesize so after 4 courses , we left actually hungry.
We both got the 4 courses ( really 3 because one is a dessert) 1 maple Manhattan, 1 martini, and 2 glasses of red wine = $274 ( with tip)
Hey it was Valentines Day right? We went BIG!
It was a fun experience. The restaurant is very small and as you've read in other reviews. Yeah you will sit within an arms reach from a stranger, BUT you may be entertained by the conversation you accidentally overhear from the couple sitting next to you :) -

My first time at Stone House - anxious to eat here after reading rave reviews. Bottom line: Very good, but not sure it matches up to the price point.
The house is very small, but didn't have the "cozy" feel that I would have preferred. Many of the seats are wood and therefore hard and uncomfortable... tables are very close together, but we were early and tucked in the corner.
Our server was excellent - very friendly and attentive.
Cocktails delicious - Maple Manhattan!! Just the right amount of sweetness.
Apps: Pear Salad and Pork Belly - nice combo that we shared
Main: Beef Tenderloin - Cooked well and sauce was tasty... but not sure it was close to $40 good
Dessert: Banana Split -- Wow! Soo good.
Solid meal and very glad we came, but for $130 we'll probably look elsewhere next time! -

I made a reservation for Thursday dinner, but it was definitely not needed. However, I've walked past this place before with it completely packed, so I definitely recommend to call ahead just in case. There isn't much seating inside since it's meant to be rather intimate.
I ordered the Pan Roasted Fresh Alaskan Halibut since I was in a seafood mood. I found the fish to be a bit too dry for my liking, and the lentils were rather crunchy rather than soft. The medley underneath the fish would have been delicious had the lentils been cooked a bit longer.
For dessert, we ordered an Apple Cobbler, which was rather good. Perfect crunch on top, and the apples were cooked well inside.
Overall, I'd love to give this place a second chance, but I think I'll go with a meat option next time.
